What to Know About Our Earrings

  • No Backs Needed for Dangles
    Dangles hug your ear with their curved design, so no backs are needed or included.
  • Extra Backs for Studs
    Studs include two sets of backs, with one set provided as a backup.
  • Thicker Posts on Studs
    Stud earrings have thicker posts than dangles, which may cause brief discomfort for people with smaller piercings or who haven’t worn earrings lately. Wearing them for a few hours each day should resolve the discomfort within a few days.
  • Sleeping in Earrings
    We don't recommend sleeping in them, although many customers do.  It's just that sleeping in them can put prolonged pressure on the glue and can cause the posts to come off and/or the backs to loosen.
  • For Healed Piercings Only
    Our plastic posts are not recommended for new piercings, only healed piercings.

The back bent and I have a more sensitive ear on my right ear . The earring hurt and I had to take it out .

Store owner replied: With normal wear and care, they should not bend or break easily. The nature of plastic does require some different treatment like removing for sleeping and showering and inserting/removing from straight on rather than at an angle. Hopefully this helps for the future. As for the irritation, the most common reason someone might have an issue with plastic is more the thicker size of the post than the plastic material itself. This is usually just the case for people that have tiny ear piercings or if you haven’t worn earrings for a while. If you can wear the earrings for a few days, even if it's just for 20 minutes a day, while there could be some initial temporary discomfort during the transition period, there is not usually further irritation. If you don't want to deal with the transition period, you are welcome to email us about our refund policy.

There was nothing wrong with them per se. They were just bigger and chunky than I was hoping for.

I didn't order this in time to receive them for a Christmas present for my daughter (my fault). But when I did get them in she was so excited! She loves them! I will say she was so confused to open the box and see Earrings by Emma on the inside (her name is also Emma); definitely had a laugh at her reaction.
