Love the look of these but the gauge of the post is too thick for my ears so they sit really far off my skin but they are so cute

Store owner replied: You are right that plastic posts are slightly thicker than metal ones. It sounds like because of this, you don't have the earring pushed in all the way maybe. If you can wear the earrings for a few days, even if it's just for 20 minutes a day, while there could be some initial temporary discomfort during the transition period, there is not usually further irritation and then maybe your earrings would set just right on the ear.

What are the posts and hooks made of?

Posts and hooks are made from polycarbonate plastic, and the backs are a soft plastic called TPE. Some earring fronts include metal, but nothing metal touches your ear.

Do the dangles need backs?

No. The curved hooks stay in on their own, so backs aren’t needed or included.

Why do the studs come with two backs?

You get two sizes so you can pick the fit you like, plus a spare in case one goes missing.

Are they OK for new piercings?

They’re made for healed piercings only.

Can I sleep in them?

We don’t recommend it. Sleeping in them puts pressure on the glue, which can loosen the backs or pop a post off.

Will the stud posts feel thick?

Stud posts are a little thicker than dangle hooks. If your piercings are small or you haven’t worn earrings in a while, they may feel snug at first. Wearing them a few hours a day usually fixes that within a few days.
