What to Know About Our Earrings

  • No Backs Needed for Dangles
    Dangles hug your ear with their curved design, so no backs are needed or included.
  • Extra Backs for Studs
    Studs include two sets of backs, with one set provided as a backup.
  • Thicker Posts on Studs
    Stud earrings have thicker posts than dangles, which may cause brief discomfort for people with smaller piercings or who haven’t worn earrings lately. Wearing them for a few hours each day should resolve the discomfort within a few days.
  • Sleeping in Earrings
    We don't recommend sleeping in them, although many customers do.  It's just that sleeping in them can put prolonged pressure on the glue and can cause the posts to come off and/or the backs to loosen.
  • For Healed Piercings Only
    Our plastic posts are not recommended for new piercings, only healed piercings.

My 7 year old daughter got her ears pierced for her 5th birthday and she has worn the same earrings since because anytime we tried others ears would get red and itchy. I came across Earrings by Emma on Facebook and decided to give them a try. My daughter has been wearing them for a week now and has had no issues at all. They are comfortable, don’t poke her head while sleeping, and no redness or irritation. She loves the designs available and we will be ordering more for sure!!

Store owner replied: Thanks for the great feedback! We love that our earrings are working well for her! We do recommend you remove our earrings for sleeping and showering since these activities may increase the chances for bending the flexible posts and loosening the backs. It also voids our warranty.

Unfortunately the first time my daughter wore them, when she took them out that night, one of the holes started bleeding as she pulled one out. I read that the studs are larger than metal earring studs, so some adjustment is necessary, but I wasn’t expecting that.

This is usually just the case for people that have tiny ear piercings or if you haven’t worn earrings for a while. If you can wear the earrings for a few days, even if it's just for 20 minutes a day, while there could be some initial temporary discomfort during the transition period, there is not usually further irritation. If you don't want to deal with the transition period, you are welcome to email us about our refund policy.

They are beautiful. They are bigger than I thought, though. That isn't a bad thing but I did want smaller ones. My fault for not reading the description.

Love!!! my seven-year-old has struggled with her earrings even though she’s had them since she was six weeks old… Everything seems to get sore and bother her Her name happens to be Emma so it’s kind of cool, but these have been a breakthrough for us. She’s had them in several days now with zero issues. I am so glad that I stumbled across your site. We have tried titanium, real gold, white gold and silver and everything breaks my daughters ears out. It's like her ear tries to eat the ear ring. They stay red and swollen. When these ear rings arrived I instantly cleaned her ears and the ear rings and we put them in. When she woke up the next morning she said mom my ears feel so good. I was so relieved. They are no longer red or swollen. I will definitely be purchasing some more and will tell all my friends.
