What to Know About Our Earrings
No Backs Needed for Dangles Dangles hug your ear with their curved design, so no backs are needed or included.
Extra Backs for Studs Studs include two sets of backs, with one set provided as a backup.
Thicker Posts on Studs Stud earrings have thicker posts than dangles, which may cause brief discomfort for people with smaller piercings or who haven’t worn earrings lately. Wearing them for a few hours each day should resolve the discomfort within a few days.
Sleeping in Earrings We don't recommend sleeping in them, although many customers do. It's just that sleeping in them can put prolonged pressure on the glue and can cause the posts to come off and/or the backs to loosen.
For Healed Piercings Only Our plastic posts are not recommended for new piercings, only healed piercings.
I’ve always had sensitivity to metals, especially in my earlobes. The only discomfort I had wearing these was that I’m not used to being able to wear them! No swelling. No red lobes, but super cute earrings. I’ve only worn one set of the three that I had ordered. Can’t wait to wear the others. I may even come back for studs! Now, if you had clicker style hoops.. omg! Those are my jam because I can sleep in them without being stabbed in the back of my ear. I’m very satisfied with these Earrings by Emma!

I'm so happy to have found this company. I have a brutal sensitivity to any metal, and had just about given up on wearing all but the most lightweight pure gold studs, till I found Earrings by Emma. Now I can add a little color and whimsy back to my repertoire, and they don't bother my ears at all. Thanks so much for a product that truly makes life a little more happy!
I haven't worn earrings in decades because I've developed some sort of allergy to anything I put in. Even if I only wore sensitive earrings for an hr, I regretted it due to itchy, burning allergic reactions. I love that you two have developed this business together, may you have much success and I will definitely be back for future purchases. The most common reason someone might have an issue with plastic is more the thicker size of the post than the plastic material itself. This is usually just the case for people that have tiny ear piercings or if you haven’t worn earrings for a while. If you can wear the earrings for a few days, even if it's just for 20 minutes a day, while there could be some initial temporary discomfort during the transition period, there is not usually further irritation. If you don't want to deal with the transition period, you are welcome to email us about our refund policy.
Due to the plastic earring hook, all of these earrings have two additional jump rings, which drop the earring lower than I like. The eye is drawn to the jump rings before the earring.
I love the look of these but all day on my first day wearing them the hoop kept spinning and would not stay in its original spot. Every time I’d feel them or look in the mirror one was sidewise and the other was upside down and it wasn’t easy to correct. This made the wear frustrating. I bought a second pair as a gift for my sister and now I’m thinking of gifting something else or trying to glue it so it will stay.
