What to Know About Our Earrings

  • No Backs Needed for Dangles
    Dangles hug your ear with their curved design, so no backs are needed or included.
  • Extra Backs for Studs
    Studs include two sets of backs, with one set provided as a backup.
  • Thicker Posts on Studs
    Stud earrings have thicker posts than dangles, which may cause brief discomfort for people with smaller piercings or who haven’t worn earrings lately.  Wearing them for a few hours each day should resolve the discomfort within a few days.
  • Sleeping in Earrings
    We don't recommend sleeping in them, although many customers do.  It's just that sleeping in them can put prolonged pressure on the glue and can cause the posts to come off and/or the backs to loosen.
  • For Healed Piercings Only
    Our plastic posts are not recommended for new piercings, only healed piercings.

Bigger than I expected but in a good way! Love the sparkle. They still bug my ears a bit but that’s a “me” problem lately. I’m just happy they don’t end up red and swollen like with metal posts!!

If you can wear the earrings for a few days, while there could be some initial temporary discomfort during the transition period, there is not usually further irritation.

Our posts are plastic, which don’t tarnish or discolor, but certain cabochon materials can react if they get wet or are exposed to lotions, hair products, or soaps. These are cute & shipping was fast but these really hurt my ears. My ears have no problem with the dangles, I have several pair but this is my first studs to get and I am not a fan. The plastic post on the studs have a lip on them and it is painful and constantly poking my ears. Maybe I just have fatter earlobes (I've never had a problem before) but the clear stud piece piece constantly jabs my ears and I have the clasp on the loosest it can go and it still seems too tight. I couldn't even wear these for more than an hour.

I've purchased a lot of earrings from here and I had high hopes but they sting like crazy. I have tried the hook types and the stud types and have about 20 pairs now (I haven't tried them all but I have tried this set). I don't know if my holes are not big enough after so long without earrings or if these are wider, or if I just have really sensitive ears. I try to wear them for a few minutes or an hour a day to try to ease into being able to wear earrings again, but it hurts so much that I can't do it long. I read on an article about sensitive ears that you can safely wear plastic posts but to make sure it's medical grade plastic. I don't think these are and maybe that's a factor in my ears protesting so much. If your ears are not particularly sensitive, these are cute. I purchased rose gold and they're fairly sparkly.
