Store owner replied: I'm sorry to hear about the bent post. With normal wear and care, they should not break easily. The nature of plastic does require some different treatment like removing for sleeping and showering but otherwise, they should not break. If they do break on our behalf, we have a 2 year warranty for that, just send us an email.

Store owner replied: Plastic posts are slightly thicker than metal ones. If you have tiny ear piercings or if you haven’t worn earrings for a while, there can be some initial temporary discomfort. If you can wear the earrings for a few days, there is not usually further irritation.

What are the posts and hooks made of?

Posts and hooks are made from polycarbonate plastic, and the backs are a soft plastic called TPE. Some earring fronts include metal, but nothing metal touches your ear.

Do the dangles need backs?

No. The curved hooks stay in on their own, so backs aren’t needed or included.

Why do the studs come with two backs?

You get two sizes so you can pick the fit you like, plus a spare in case one goes missing.

Are they OK for new piercings?

They’re made for healed piercings only.

Can I sleep in them?

We don’t recommend it. Sleeping in them puts pressure on the glue, which can loosen the backs or pop a post off.

Will the stud posts feel thick?

Stud posts are a little thicker than dangle hooks. If your piercings are small or you haven’t worn earrings in a while, they may feel snug at first. Wearing them a few hours a day usually fixes that within a few days.
