I love all of the earrings I ordered. I have had such bad allergic reactions when I used to wear any kind of metal earrings and my ear lobes would swell and itch. These plastic hooks and posts were just the thing I needed and the earrings are so cute! I’ve worn them twice since I received them and did not have any issues. Grateful for this product so I can finally wear earrings again.

The design is great. I loove owls so I was very excited about these but can’t wear them. I had them on all night to see if the pain would subside but it didn’t. The burning sensation was still there even after I took them off. I wanted to love them but I wont be wearing them again.

Store owner replied: The most common reason someone might have an issue with plastic is more the thicker size of the post than the plastic material itself. This is usually just the case for people that have tiny ear piercings or if you haven’t worn earrings for a while. If you can wear the earrings for a few days, while there could be some initial temporary discomfort during the transition period, there is not usually further irritation. Also, we recommend you remove our earrings for sleeping and showering since these activities may increase the chances for bending the flexible posts and loosening the backs. It also voids our warranty.

Good to Know

What are the posts and hooks made of?

Posts and hooks are made from polycarbonate plastic, and the backs are a soft plastic called TPE. Some earring fronts include metal, but nothing metal touches your ear.

Do the dangles need backs?

No. The curved hooks stay in on their own, so backs aren’t needed or included.

Why do the studs come with two backs?

You get two sizes so you can pick the fit you like, plus a spare in case one goes missing.

Are they OK for new piercings?

They’re made for healed piercings only.

Can I sleep in them?

We don’t recommend it. Sleeping in them puts pressure on the glue, which can loosen the backs or pop a post off.

Will the stud posts feel thick?

Stud posts are a little thicker than dangle hooks. If your piercings are small or you haven’t worn earrings in a while, they may feel snug at first. Wearing them a few hours a day usually fixes that within a few days.
