I tired one pair on, and wore them all day. Unfortunately as I wore them my ears started to hurt. I haven't given up on them and will try again.

Store owner replied: The most common reason someone might have an issue with plastic is more the thicker size of the post than the plastic material itself. This is usually just the case for people that have tiny ear piercings or haven't worn earrings in quite some time. If you can wear the earrings for a few days, while there could be some initial temporary discomfort, there is not usually further irritation. If that doesn't appeal to you, email us about our warranty.

These were the first ones she put in when we got our order. They must be comfortable, because she sleeps in them, too!

Store owner replied: I'm so glad the earrings work well for her! We do recommend that our earrings not be worn during sleep or showering as this increases the chance for the flexible posts to bend and break and also voids our warranty.

My daughter just got her ears pierced at Christmas time and was ready to change to her first pair of earrings. She has very sensitive skin naturally so we knew finding the right fit would be a process. We purchased from Earrings By Emma and they did not disappoint! No issues with skin irritations or allergies and have since ordered 3 more pair. We receive our orders within 5-7 days. I feel as though this is our 1 stop shop for earrings. My daughter has very sensitive ears. I have searched and tried many "sensitive" types of earrings with no luck. I came across these earrings and had to give them a try. Good to Know

What are the posts and hooks made of?

Posts and hooks are made from polycarbonate plastic, and the backs are a soft plastic called TPE. Some earring fronts include metal, but nothing metal touches your ear.

Do the dangles need backs?

No. The curved hooks stay in on their own, so backs aren’t needed or included.

Why do the studs come with two backs?

You get two sizes so you can pick the fit you like, plus a spare in case one goes missing.

Are they OK for new piercings?

They’re made for healed piercings only.

Can I sleep in them?

We don’t recommend it. Sleeping in them puts pressure on the glue, which can loosen the backs or pop a post off.

Will the stud posts feel thick?

Stud posts are a little thicker than dangle hooks. If your piercings are small or you haven’t worn earrings in a while, they may feel snug at first. Wearing them a few hours a day usually fixes that within a few days.
