These are legitimately the first earrings I've been able to wear since I gave birth to my son 11 years ago. Idk. Something in my skin ph changed and I had to start using different makeup, no more metal earrings, it was a whole thing. This is usually just the case for people that have tiny ear piercings or if you haven’t worn earrings for a while. If you can wear the earrings for a few days, even if it's just for 20 minutes a day, while there could be some initial temporary discomfort during the transition period, there is not usually further irritation. If you don't want to deal with the transition period, you are welcome to email us about our refund policy.

I love the look of the earrings. Unfortunately my ears do not agree with them. I am having the same reaction I would with any other earring I have tried - redness, bleeding, stinging sensations. I have put them in daily since they arrived, and unfortunately no improvement even when applying Neosporin to the backs. I am sure they are a great solution for some folks, and feel disappointed they don't work for me.

Good to Know

What are the posts and hooks made of?

Posts and hooks are made from polycarbonate plastic, and the backs are a soft plastic called TPE. Some earring fronts include metal, but nothing metal touches your ear.

Do the dangles need backs?

No. The curved hooks stay in on their own, so backs aren’t needed or included.

Why do the studs come with two backs?

You get two sizes so you can pick the fit you like, plus a spare in case one goes missing.

Are they OK for new piercings?

They’re made for healed piercings only.

Can I sleep in them?

We don’t recommend it. Sleeping in them puts pressure on the glue, which can loosen the backs or pop a post off.

Will the stud posts feel thick?

Stud posts are a little thicker than dangle hooks. If your piercings are small or you haven’t worn earrings in a while, they may feel snug at first. Wearing them a few hours a day usually fixes that within a few days.
