No Backs Needed for Dangles Dangles hug your ear with their curved design, so no backs are needed or included.
Extra Backs for Studs Studs include two sets of backs, with one set provided as a backup.
Thicker Posts on Studs Stud earrings have thicker posts than dangles, which may cause brief discomfort for people with smaller piercings or who haven’t worn earrings lately. Wearing them for a few hours each day should resolve the discomfort within a few days.
Sleeping in Earrings We don't recommend sleeping in them, although many customers do. It's just that sleeping in them can put prolonged pressure on the glue and can cause the posts to come off and/or the backs to loosen.
For Healed Piercings Only Our plastic posts are not recommended for new piercings, only healed piercings.
For years I haven't been able to wear earrings more than a couple of hours before taking them off because the hurt so much. I wore my Earrings by Emma for a full day the first time I wore them with no problems!

Haven't worn earrings for years! Once I got them in had no pain or redness!
They felt cheaper than I expected when I received them. But they are still wonderful and don't look too cheap when on. I like them well enough I've worn them to every event since I got them.
I was so excited to hear of this plastic option for my super sensitive ears. I just received my first order (3 pairs) and I was not disappointed. Very impressed actually. These affordable earrings look great and didn’t bother my ears a bit, woohoo! Now I can wear fun earrings again. Kudos to this adorable mother-daughter team!
Unfortunately the thick size of the post caused as much irritation as she had wearing metal posts. We tried multiple times over two weeks, and they just are not going to work due to the thickness. At the price we paid it’s very disappointing.

The most common reason someone might have an issue with plastic is more the thicker size of the post than the plastic material itself. This is usually just the case for people that have tiny ear piercings or if you haven’t worn earrings for a while. If you can wear the earrings for a few days, even if it's just for 20 minutes a day, while there could be some initial temporary discomfort during the transition period, there is not usually further irritation. If you don't want to deal with the transition period, you are welcome to email us about our refund policy.
I have never been able to wear earrings. After I got used to having something in my ears again they have been amazing!
I was so happy to get my earrings. My right ear is extremely sensitive to regular earrings and become sore. I could not believe how comfortable these earrings are. I forget they are in my ears. I absolutely love the dangle earrings but I am not going to be able to wear them. I couldn't even get the black ones to go in because the stud is too large for my ears. I was really hoping that I was going to be able to wear these because I love your imagination and the designs you are coming up with. I had already started to choose my next selections when it became apparent that my ears do not like plastic inserted in them either.

I've struggled for years with having super sensitive ears, to the point that I have worn the same pair of earings for probably the last 5-10 years. I'm getting married in October and really wanted a fun pair of earrings, and these infinity loops are elegant, yet simple. Perfect for my wedding day :)
I tried these to see how comfortable they would be. I really like how easy they are to put on and how comfortable they were during the day. I will be ordering more.
I hadn't worn earrings for years because of metal allergies.. But I have really short ha�r after chemo treatments and I needed to look at least a little feminine. I found your website on line and ordered these earrings and a pair of studs. They are so comfortable! I am very pleased with them!
It was a thoughtful idea; but the plastic doesn't feel cylindrical as it slides through the ear hole. It feels "flattened", which causes it to feel as if it were cutting through the hole. They were pretty, but I couldn't wear them.

So sorry to hear that! Our plastic posts are slightly thicker than metal posts, so if you have tiny piercing holes, you could be experiencing some temporary but uncomfortabe stretching. We are happy to refund you if you'd like. Just reply to our email.
