What to Know About Our Earrings

  • No Backs Needed for Dangles
    Dangles hug your ear with their curved design, so no backs are needed or included.
  • Extra Backs for Studs
    Studs include two sets of backs, with one set provided as a backup.
  • Thicker Posts on Studs
    Stud earrings have thicker posts than dangles, which may cause brief discomfort for people with smaller piercings or who haven’t worn earrings lately.  Wearing them for a few hours each day should resolve the discomfort within a few days.
  • Sleeping in Earrings
    We don't recommend sleeping in them, although many customers do.  It's just that sleeping in them can put prolonged pressure on the glue and can cause the posts to come off and/or the backs to loosen.
  • For Healed Piercings Only
    Our plastic posts are not recommended for new piercings, only healed piercings.

My daughter’s ears got extremely infected with these and they gauged her little ears - her earring holes are now too big for other earrings - she’s almost 9 and I had assumed these would work for her ears but it seems we wasted our money on more earrings She cannot wear.

If she can wear the earrings for a few days, even if it's just for 20 minutes a day, while there could be some initial temporary discomfort during the transition period, there is not usually further irritation. The earrings came quickly and are very nice looking.. my ears did take a minute to adjust as i hadnt worn earrings in a couple months .. the were red and got hot when i first put the earrings in but that happens no matter what earrings i wear. But i was able to wear them for hours with no peoblem (I normally put earring in as soon as I get to an event and take them out as soon as I get back to my car to avoid my holes getting infected ) I cant wait for more adult like style earrings so I can buy more.

Sleeping and showering in the earrings does void our warranty. But if the earrings haven't been slept or showered in, email us at care@earringsbyemma.com, and we will replace or refund them for you.

I love these earrings, but they still hurt my ears. I’m not sure what’s wrong with my ear lobes, but they are very sore no matter what I wear.

5eore for a couple of weeks and the the diamond part came off the post .I've ordered here before, I probably won't anymore. I wish I could get a refund or replacement.

Not quite as sparkly as described, but still nicely made. And most metal posts make my lobes itch and even hurt…but these are great! I even slept in them 4 days in a row!

I bought my first 3 pairs a couple weeks ago and just started wearing them last week. I am still in the stage of getting used to the thicker posts compared to thinner metal posts. Store owner replied: Plastic posts are slightly thicker than metal ones. If you have smaller piercing holes, you could use Neosporin to assist with insertion (although this will void the warranty). Also, to make for a smoother transition, we recommend wearing our earrings for only about 20 minutes a day for the first week. Then, you usually won't have any trouble after that. Also note that our dangle hooks are not quite as thick as the stud posts.

my ears hate all foreign objects so it was nice to find something that hurts them the least!
