Studs include two sets of backs, with one set provided as a backup. - Thicker Posts on Studs
Stud earrings have thicker posts than dangles, which may cause brief discomfort for people with smaller piercings or who haven’t worn earrings lately. Wearing them for a few hours each day should resolve the discomfort within a few days. - Sleeping in Earrings
We don't recommend sleeping in them, although many customers do. It's just that sleeping in them can put prolonged pressure on the glue and can cause the posts to come off and/or the backs to loosen. - For Healed Piercings Only

The earrings came quickly and are very nice looking.. my ears did take a minute to adjust as i hadnt worn earrings in a couple months .. the were red and got hot when i first put the earrings in but that happens no matter what earrings i wear. But i was able to wear them for hours with no peoblem (I normally put earring in as soon as I get to an event and take them out as soon as I get back to my car to avoid my holes getting infected ) I cant wait for more adult like style earrings so I can buy more.

I bought my first 3 pairs a couple weeks ago and just started wearing them last week. I am still in the stage of getting used to the thicker posts compared to thinner metal posts. I feel like once I’m past the initial stage of thicker posts I will be completely happy with not having metal posts irritating my ears. Thanks for the plastic earring options!

These earrings took a couple days for my ears to get used to (as the accompanying note suggested). Two days in my ears and they were no longer sore. They wear really light. Ive struggled with silver and gold and plated earrings my entire life. Its nice to finally have a pain free option!

Having trouble getting them on. Can't get through the holes?
Store owner replied: Plastic posts are slightly thicker than metal ones. If you have smaller piercing holes, you could use Neosporin to assist with insertion (although this will void the warranty). Also, to make for a smoother transition, we recommend wearing our earrings for only about 20 minutes a day for the first week. Then, you usually won't have any trouble after that. Also note that our dangle hooks are not quite as thick as the stud posts.

If you can wear the earrings for a few days, even if it's just for 20 minutes a day, while there could be some initial temporary discomfort during the transition period, there is not usually further irritation.
