- No Backs Needed for Dangles
Dangles hug your ear with their curved design, so no backs are needed or included. - Extra Backs for Studs
Studs include two sets of backs, with one set provided as a backup. - Thicker Posts on Studs
Stud earrings have thicker posts than dangles, which may cause brief discomfort for people with smaller piercings or who haven’t worn earrings lately. Wearing them for a few hours each day should resolve the discomfort within a few days. - Sleeping in Earrings
We don't recommend sleeping in them, although many customers do. It's just that sleeping in them can put prolonged pressure on the glue and can cause the posts to come off and/or the backs to loosen. - For Healed Piercings Only

I tired one pair on, and wore them all day. Unfortunately as I wore them my ears started to hurt. I haven't given up on them and will try again.

Store owner replied: The most common reason someone might have an issue with plastic is more the thicker size of the post than the plastic material itself. This is usually just the case for people that have tiny ear piercings or haven't worn earrings in quite some time. If you can wear the earrings for a few days, while there could be some initial temporary discomfort, there is not usually further irritation. If that doesn't appeal to you, email us about our warranty.

Store owner replied: I'm so glad the earrings work well for her! We do recommend that our earrings not be worn during sleep or showering as this increases the chance for the flexible posts to bend and break and also voids our warranty.

My daughter just got her ears pierced at Christmas time and was ready to change to her first pair of earrings. She has very sensitive skin naturally so we knew finding the right fit would be a process. We purchased from Earrings By Emma and they did not disappoint! My daughter has very sensitive ears. I have searched and tried many "sensitive" types of earrings with no luck. I came across these earrings and had to give them a try.
