What to Know About Our Earrings

  • No Backs Needed for Dangles
    Dangles hug your ear with their curved design, so no backs are needed or included.
  • Extra Backs for Studs
    Studs include two sets of backs, with one set provided as a backup.
  • Thicker Posts on Studs
    Stud earrings have thicker posts than dangles, which may cause brief discomfort for people with smaller piercings or who havenā€™t worn earrings lately. Wearing them for a few hours each day should resolve the discomfort within a few days.
  • Sleeping in Earrings
    We don't recommend sleeping in them, although many customers do.Ā  It's just that sleeping in them can put prolonged pressure on the glue and can cause the posts to come off and/or the backs to loosen.
  • For Healed Piercings Only
    Our plastic posts are not recommended for new piercings, only healed piercings.

Store owner replied: The most common reason someone might have an issue with plastic is more the thicker size of the post than the plastic material itself. This is usually just the case for people that have tiny ear piercings or if you havenā€™t worn earrings for a while. If you can wear the earrings for a few days, even if it's just for 20 minutes a day, while there could be some initial temporary discomfort during the transition period, there is not usually further irritation. If you don't want to deal with the transition period, you are welcome to email us about our refund policy.

I got these earrings as a surprise for my 9 year old daughter's birthday. She got earrings from Claire's about a year ago and her holes closed up. She loves these earrings though! Not only can she wear them, but they're so cute! I ended up getting the watermelon and horseshoe earrings for her as well! If you're looking for earrings, hypoallergenic or not, Earrings by Emma is the best!

first off, the corgi earrings are adorable. Secondly, my daughter has had incessant issues with her ears NEVER healing until we switched to these earrings. it was like a miracle. The corgi earrings were her favorite, which brings my to my 3rd reason why I love this company: the customer service is fantastic. Our corgi earrings broke unfortunately, but the company handled it great and replaced our pair. I very much appreciate that. Highly recommend earrings by Emma and these adorable corgi earrings!
