What to Know About Our Earrings

  • No Backs Needed for Dangles
    Dangles hug your ear with their curved design, so no backs are needed or included.
  • Extra Backs for Studs
    Studs include two sets of backs, with one set provided as a backup.
  • Thicker Posts on Studs
    Stud earrings have thicker posts than dangles, which may cause brief discomfort for people with smaller piercings or who haven’t worn earrings lately. Wearing them for a few hours each day should resolve the discomfort within a few days.
  • Sleeping in Earrings
    We don't recommend sleeping in them, although many customers do.  It's just that sleeping in them can put prolonged pressure on the glue and can cause the posts to come off and/or the backs to loosen.
  • For Healed Piercings Only
    Our plastic posts are not recommended for new piercings, only healed piercings.

Store owner replied: The most common reason someone might have an issue with plastic is more the thicker size of the post than the plastic material itself. This is usually just the case for people that have tiny ear piercings or if you haven’t worn earrings for a while. If you can wear the earrings for a few days, even if it's just for 20 minutes a day, while there could be some initial temporary discomfort during the transition period, there is not usually further irritation. If you don't want to deal with the transition period, you are welcome to email us about our refund policy.

I love these earrings! I have always wanted to wear earrings and have had my ears pierced since I was very young, but could never wear them. We tried 24k gold, sterling silver, titanium, platinum, if they offered it we tried it. As soon as I put them in my lobes would turn bright red and start itching so bad. But I wore these for a week and didn't have one problem. I can't wait to buy more!!!

I cannot wear any sort of metal in my pierced ears; they will immediately turn red & become swollen and painful and I had not worn earrings for several years. I was so very glad to find these plastic post earrings by Emma, and I've purchased several different paris. These pearls are very well made, the "pearls" don't look cheap, and are obviously suitable for grown-ups, not just the little ones. I highly recommend these earrings if you have a metal allergy in your ear piercings.

These are wonderful! This purchase was two more pair. I had a pair that I wore almost all the time but somehow I lost one. Now I have a spare and a half. :) they are very, very comfortable and I even had an MRI with them in a few months ago. I did have to take one out to assure the technician that they weren’t metal, but I thought that was cool because she was not aware that these things even existed.
