What to Know About Our Earrings
No Backs Needed for Dangles Dangles hug your ear with their curved design, so no backs are needed or included.
Extra Backs for Studs Studs include two sets of backs, with one set provided as a backup.
Thicker Posts on Studs Stud earrings have thicker posts than dangles, which may cause brief discomfort for people with smaller piercings or who haven’t worn earrings lately. Wearing them for a few hours each day should resolve the discomfort within a few days.
Sleeping in Earrings We don't recommend sleeping in them, although many customers do. It's just that sleeping in them can put prolonged pressure on the glue and can cause the posts to come off and/or the backs to loosen.
For Healed Piercings Only Our plastic posts are not recommended for new piercings, only healed piercings.
I’m so glad I took a chance on these studs before buying a bunch of the cuter earrings! I wasn’t sure if they would work for my insanely sensitive ears, but they did! I wore these blanks for a few weeks while my ears adjusted to having earrings again. I only had a small amount of discomfort the first few days (like the kind you have when you first get your ears pierced) bc it had been a while since I had worn any kind of earrings. Since then I have transferred some of my old earrings to the plastic hooks and purchased some cute pairs from Earrings by Emma to add to my collection! I may be obsessed with earrings again!
So I didn’t need these for blanks per se. I needed them for surgery to keep my fresh piercings from closing! I didn’t read the description and bought two packs for four piercings when you get 5 pairs in a pack! Whoops! No problem. They have caused zero irritation and were just what I needed to keep the holes open. Can’t wait til my ears finish healing and I can try the other earrings I purchased like the fun dangly one!
For reference I am 43 and had my first holes pierced at 6. 8 years ago after wearing earrings a bride had given me for my bridesmaid ensemble my ears got so swollen and infected that my holes closed! After all that time. I recently went to a professional piercer and had surgical stainless holes done for first and second holes. But I could have no metal on my body for surgery. I found these while searching for plugs! I have also worn them for almost a week straight now (sleeping and showering) and they have held up fine - I know you don’t guarantee for that, but I appreciated not having to have my husband put my earrings back in because I can’t lift my arm very well on one side.

You can't see them very well. You may have to zoom in. Because I am wearing the little tiny flowers today. And I love them so much. I get so many compliments. I have other studs and love them all and I also have dangling red hearts I wear. I have never been able to wear earrings for more than a day without swelling and pain and having to take them out. These I wear every day. They are awesome I would love to make a few pair on my own. But not sure how. I will keep ordering from Earrings by Emma! And I tell everyone about them. Bought these with a few family members in mind as I make earrings and gift them. I love they're clear so they don't clash with any beads. And they're fairly sturdy. I didn't think they were flimsy. I will continue to purchase them!

I only order my posts and backs through Emma, I know what I'm getting and for what I make just for myself they are great! First time I've ever been able to wear earrings for more than a day. This is the most brilliant idea in history! I have had the worst experience with ear piercings. The only one I've been able to keep is my industrial and that's because they make plastic bars. I repeirced my ears and put these through them. I can tell the INSTANT difference. I haven't had the pain I usually do with earrings. Usually I can wear them half a day and pus oozes out! But these don't even turn my ears red!!! I am beyond extatic!! Girl, you are an absolute genius!

I loved the idea of blank posts, because I have been paranoid about losing my earrings while swimming or doing something else. I was happy with the product, but I have very thick ears and the posts are a bit too short. I definetly can't wear the 2 backs and can only wear one really loose. I still love the product and it has really helped me while I'm swimming or playing tennis.

For some people with thicker lobes, our posts do seem to be shorter than desired. It is not intended for both pairs of backs to be worn. We send 2 sizes to give customers an option for preference. For thicker lobes, we recommend the smaller sized back.

I use these to keep my piercings so they don't start to close at night and to avoid breaking my rhinestone earrings. I think these are not meant for sleeping in. The posts and backs cause no irritation.
My daughter's ears cannot wear ANY metal and she is in competition dance. We have to wear these giant crystal earrings and they always irritate her but I had the idea to use the clear plastic posts and make my own using the current comp earrings we have. They work PERFECTLY! I am so so happy we found a solution :)

I bought the pearls for my daughters ages 6 and 7 and they look so cute on them! It pearls look absolutely real and very classic. I love that they're not a ball shape but more natural and the color is perfect.
