Growing up I loved earrings but in my 20s I became allergic. I haven't been able to wear earrings for over 10 years and my husband discovered Earrings By Emma and it was a game changer. I love all of the earrings I ordered. I have had such bad allergic reactions when I used to wear any kind of metal earrings and my ear lobes would swell and itch. These plastic hooks and posts were just the thing I needed and the earrings are so cute! I’ve worn them twice since I received them and did not have any issues. Grateful for this product so I can finally wear earrings again.

Good to Know

What are the posts and hooks made of?

Posts and hooks are made from polycarbonate plastic, and the backs are a soft plastic called TPE. Some earring fronts include metal, but nothing metal touches your ear.

Do the dangles need backs?

No. The curved hooks stay in on their own, so backs aren’t needed or included.

Why do the studs come with two backs?

You get two sizes so you can pick the fit you like, plus a spare in case one goes missing.

Are they OK for new piercings?

They’re made for healed piercings only.

Can I sleep in them?

We don’t recommend it. Sleeping in them puts pressure on the glue, which can loosen the backs or pop a post off.

Will the stud posts feel thick?

Stud posts are a little thicker than dangle hooks. If your piercings are small or you haven’t worn earrings in a while, they may feel snug at first. Wearing them a few hours a day usually fixes that within a few days.
