Store owner replied: The most common reason someone might have an issue with plastic is more the thicker size of the post than the plastic material itself. This is usually just the case for people that have tiny ear piercings or if you haven’t worn earrings for a while. If you can wear the earrings for a few days, even if it's just for 20 minutes a day, while there could be some initial temporary discomfort during the transition period, there is not usually further irritation. If you don't want to deal with the transition period, you are welcome to email us about our refund policy.
They’re much larger than I anticipated. “Petite” is part of the description so I expected to be able to wear these with my other earrings. I’d be thrilled if you sold a TRULY petite earring. I do love plastic posts since I’m allergic to every metal. Still gonna wear them, though!

I purchased the petite faux Drury studs faux diamond. Easy to purchase and arrived quickly. My daughter opened the package and the earrings looked blue! I did not want to go through the hassle of returning. I also thought maybe im just overreacting or the lighting in my home was throwing me off. I went clothes shopping later that day and when I looked in the dressing room mirror...they looked blue. No question!

When I got my earrings, I saw in the fine print that plastic posts can cause irritation if you don't wear earrings very often. OF COURSE I DON'T because every time I do they get irritated, and scab up and get itchy and bleed! So I wore them every day for almost a week. Meanwhile I got sent a pair of metal earrings by mistake, and I wondered if the real problem was not a metal allergy but the fact that I rarely wear earrings .... so I tried them for 2 hours before taking them out. Now my ears are scabbed up and I don't know if it's the plastic earrings or the metal ones. I am trying to wear them again, dipping the posts in alcohol. I'll let you know how it goes.

Store owner replied: I'm sorry you're dealing with that, that's frustrating. Since you wore both the metal and plastic earrings around the same time, it's hard to know which caused the irritation. Most people don't have any discomfort with plastic posts, but if you haven't worn earrings in a while or your piercing holes are small, the slightly thicker posts may cause temporary irritation at first. If so, we recommend starting with just 20 minutes a day for the first week for the smoothest transition. For now, I'd let your ears heal completely before trying plastic post earrings again.

They are great! Definitely take your ears getting used to because they are thick. I used Vaseline to get them to go in a little easier. But they are beautiful!
