    Dangles hug your ear with their curved design, so no backs are needed or included.
  • Extra Backs for Studs
    Studs include two sets of backs, with one set provided as a backup.
  • Thicker Posts on Studs
    Stud earrings have thicker posts than dangles, which may cause brief discomfort for people with smaller piercings or who haven’t worn earrings lately. Wearing them for a few hours each day should resolve the discomfort within a few days.
  • Sleeping in Earrings
    We don't recommend sleeping in them, although many customers do.  It's just that sleeping in them can put prolonged pressure on the glue and can cause the posts to come off and/or the backs to loosen.
  • For Healed Piercings Only
    Our plastic posts are not recommended for new piercings, only healed piercings.

I was really hopeful that these would be perfect for my daughter's sensitive ears. Instead, they were painful to wear and actually got stuck in her piercing. To make matters worse, I am incredibly disappointed by the return policy. I don’t understand how a company can refuse returns on earrings that have been worn—how else are you supposed to know if they actually work for you? On top of that, requiring customers to pay return shipping costs for a defective experience is completely unacceptable. This policy is not customer-friendly at all.

Store owner replied: We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed. Because earrings are a personal-wear item, we cannot accept returns on worn earrings for hygiene reasons. However, we do understand that some customers may need to try our earrings to see how their ears react, especially when dealing with sensitivities. For that reason, for email subscribers, we offer a free pair to try if the customer just pays shipping. We do not require customers to return defective earrings. Our warranty does cover defects, though from your review it sounds like your concern was primarily with sensitivity rather than a product defect. For that, we do offer refunds for up to two worn pairs if they cause discomfort or do not work for sensitive ears as expected. I will send you an email about this. We truly appreciate the feedback and are always looking for ways to improve both our products and customer experience.

I recently discovered Earrings by Emma and I'm extremely impressed. I've battled with yucky earring goo for 30 years but the plastic posts don't irritate my piercings at all and my ears aren't sore.
