Studs include two sets of backs, with one set provided as a backup. - Thicker Posts on Studs
Stud earrings have thicker posts than dangles, which may cause brief discomfort for people with smaller piercings or who haven’t worn earrings lately. Wearing them for a few hours each day should resolve the discomfort within a few days. - Sleeping in Earrings
We don't recommend sleeping in them, although many customers do. It's just that sleeping in them can put prolonged pressure on the glue and can cause the posts to come off and/or the backs to loosen. - For Healed Piercings Only

My first order of six sets of Earrings by Emma arrived today, and I could not be happier with the products. I am 50 years old and have had irritated pierced ears for 42 of them. At some point I just gave up on earrings altogether, especially after trying very expensive precious metals and still experiencing pain, redness, swelling, and pus. I knew when I saw these they were the answer I needed all along and grabbed six right away. I have had these in for hours without any issues. I even FORGOT THEY WERE THERE which has never happened! I bought a cute mix of classy and quirky (just like me!) and will be living my earring dreams. Nothing can stop me now!

I was really hopeful these would not make eye ears feel sore, but they are. They hurt as soon as I put them in. A few pair, the hurt goes away, but after several days of wearing different ones, my ears are crusty and sore. I'm so sad! I really wanted this to work!
Store owner replied: The most common reason someone might have an issue with plastic is more the thicker size of the post than the plastic material itself. This is usually just the case for people that have tiny ear piercings or if you haven’t worn earrings for a while. If you can wear the earrings for a few days, even if it's just for 20 minutes a day, while there could be some initial temporary discomfort during the transition period, there is not usually further irritation. If you don't want to deal with the transition period, you are welcome to email us about our refund policy.
